Play It Again

This was a commission done for someone who had lost someone special recently. I wrestled with posting this since it is outside of my typical scratchboard work, but since I think it came out very well, it gets posted here. Scratchboard and watercolor, 8x10 inches. I added an additional branch digitally, and deepened the blacks from the original scan (scratchboard scans very poorly in my scanner, and areas of deep black have to be retouched since they always look dirty), but aside from the branch, I have attempted to capture what this looks like in real life.
