Wow, incredible scratch board work! There is some serious time invested there. Wonderful stuff.

Give me a needle and a huge wooden board and you'll have me distracted for weeks sadly

I was introduced to this kind of work through my sister, who does some scratchboard and etching, as well as stone sculpture, watercolor, acrylics...

I love the style. Your imagination, design, and skill are all exceptional. The fine detail and shading is incredible. This creativity at its best.

I guess it helps living in Seattle to do scratchboard. xd I also live in Seattle, in a drafty 101 year old house, shivering in the cold, under dim light. One has to conserve, of course. xd

I live in an ancient apartment building on the top of Capitol Hill and I do most of my work in a closet. It is very "Seattle".

Also, if you're local to the area, I'm (probably) going to be having a show at the end of the month if you would like to see this stuff!
:iconinspiredcreativity:
I live on Beacon hill with my partner of 18 years.

I would love to go to your show. I am generally homebound with crippling arthritis, but I love a good excuse to get out on occasion.

Capital sure as gotten pricey. No wonder you work in a closet.

I have yet to go to bed, so I off soon, until tonight.

You can send the show info by note if you want privacy.

Later,

Matthew

The magician is my favorite tarot card and your interpretation is stunning. It is innovative while remaining true to the cards meaning. Again stunning.

This is absolutely amazing. I'm in awe of the level if detail you have put into this piece. There is a dynamic quality to the piece; it seems as though, every time you look away, the characters shift slightly, not enough to truly be noticed, but enough to make them seem alive.

This is a true masterpiece.

They called it war and made us soldiers, gave us guns and made us kill. They bandaged our wounds, stitched up our scars, made dolls of our shells stuffed with bullets, and packaged us away labelled "damaged goods".

Thank you very much!

Thank you very much! I have achieved my objective. I made this piece to "dance" around the panel and it seems to do just that.
