Hello everyone! I love trading traditional art with other artists. I'm now currently looking to trade one of my physical pieces for one of yours! Interested? Keep reading.
Details: I'm only looking for physical traditional pieces of art at this time. I have a preference for paintings, paper art (pastel, watercolor, etc), or just about any skilled traditionalist art. Digital work is beautiful and stunning, but right now I'm interested in traditional works. I will be trading prints at some point in the future, and digital works will be included in that.
If interested, you have the option of choosing from a few pieces already created, or I can make you an entirely new piece. I traded away this...
My own work will arrive to you varnished but NOT framed because I'm usually very tight for money. Framing, and later shipping the framed piece with insurance is usually a bit too expensive for me to afford. That being said, I don't mind framing and shipping as long as I get sent a little money to cover the expenses.
About what I do: I work almost exclusively in scratchboard in watercolor, and you would be receiving a piece created using those two mediums on clayboard black. Go here for more details on the medium: www.ampersandart.com/scratchbo…
I will NOT be using any of Krylon's varnishes despite their recommendation on Ampersand's site listed above. I had a few really rotten experiences with Krylon that I do not wish to repeat. I now use a museum quality varnish which dries a little more slowly, but with superior results.
Concerning quality: I devote an average of 40-80 (some can reach up to 200!) hours on each individual piece I make, and while I'm not looking for a required amount of time you have to spend, I am looking for a polished and fully developed style. I'm not a stickler for the size of the piece being the exact size of the one I trade. It just has to be awesome.
Concerning content: I enjoy dreamscapes, nightmares, animal representation of a feeling or emotion, and surreal scenes of any kind, so if you do that sort of thing, I'm your lady.
Note me or just leave a comment here if you are interested. I'll check out your work, and see if it would be a good fit. I only trade one at a time every year or so, but there are so many great people here that I'm probably going to step up my trade game.
